Than I married an original booster with the Subaru WRX 1 1/16 in master cylinder.
It was chosen , because WRX has the same configuration like my car - 4 piston Brembos on the front and 2 piston Brembos on the back. So it should be OK .
I had to modify few things to make it fit.
The body of the master cylinder itself - mounting holes were off.
WRX m/c has a tank on top of it . And I don't have much room for it , so I joined the m/c with the original remote tank.

I made custom nipples and metal holder to hold them in place.

Original plunger was modified too - I made it about 10mm longer.

Assembled.

New paint dried out and I started to put everything back together.
The hydraulics was all fitted and connected . Me and my son , we bled the brakes - all 8 bleeders , nothing leaks and the pedal is nice and stiff. Cleaned and painted sub-frame as well.
Looks like everything is ready for the engine implant.

And the firs test fit .
Everything is OK , but the header .
Since 2L block is a little taller then 1.6 - headers downpipe is a little to short now.
Will have to fix that.

I had to cut out this much metal to make it fit.

Some places had to have a sledgehammer treatment .

I made a couple of spacers to lower the back of trany a little bit.

Outstanding work... "my brother from a different mother" a variation on a theme …

What did you use for brake lines from the MC?

Oh this is a very nice build.... and has encouraged me to take our '74 Special TC for a spin today as well!

Really liking the quality of the work, and you'll love the 131 transmission... nice and notchy. Only question I have is the regulator between the IDFs. I've never seen it mounted there. Doesn't it interfere with setting the balance lever etc?

Nice job!
