Interesting folklore on one of the bridges I read today in an article about PA haunted driving tours:

Van Sant Covered Bridge, New Hope

Here's why the website included the bridge on the tour:

Local legend tells two different haunted tales of what happened on Van Sant Bridge - now known as Crybaby Bridge. In one tale, a man viciously murdered a woman and her infant on the bridge. His deed was repaid when he was hanged from the rafters of the bridge.

Hi All,

Next Sunday, October 22th is our annual Bucks County Covered Bridge Tour.
We will start the tour at the Washington Crossing Park in PA. The meeting point will be the large parking lot 1/8 mile north of the Visitors Center, on the PA side of the River. The Driving Tour starts at 9:45 AM, I will be at the parking lot around 9:15 AM.

The tour will end at the Van Sant Airport with a picnic lunch, please feel free to bring something to share. The airport will be selling hot dogs and hamburgers.

Please let me know if you are going, I want to make sure we have everyone before we start the tour. Last year's turnout and weather were perfect. I'll send out another reminder Saturday.

More Info and pictures from past events at

If you need anything you can call me at 609-510-0001.

Thanks,
Ralph
