Ahh, I see. Looks fairly thin so it won't effect the fit much, but should about double the thickness compared to the original metal.

--Yes Tim, the idea is to "spread" the load as the crossmember "works" against the framerail.

--Understand also, that this doubler is used only after the frame repair was made using a piece of 1/8" angle on the bottom and vertical surface. This trapezoid repair includes the vertical attaching bolts in the repair piece. If you look very closely at the pics, you might see a slight outline of an inverted trapezoid.
