I'm trying to keep your mind work.

Original post, on a FIAT forum, never said "Jaguar." Otherwise I would have said:

My mother has a 2003 Vanden Plas. It has 8,500 miles on it. It routinely goes to the shop for some major, costly issue. I know several people with these cars and they are all low mileage and high maintenance. Of course, I own two FIATs and a Land Rover, so really, my opinion is useless.

Now, since he didn't say "Jaguar" I assumed FIAT. And it had the word "dealer" in it, which to me means dealing with satan's child.

Thanks to all for your profound statements. :?
Hired an Internet advertiser for $139, and he saved me $500 in travel expenses. My biggest fear was that he may be in cahoots with the seller, but he was ruthless in his assessment. Maybe he'll save me a lot more by declining the car, or in negotiating a realistic price.

Nice! Glad it worked out. Seems like mostly minor stuff tho, except the repainted panels. That could indicate adjusting the price… Good luck with the purchase.
