Re: Is BAT going snooty?

Well if you miss the selection displayed on the "older" Bring a Trailer site, you may find this one of interest. It is so similar looking that I wonder if the same person owns both sites. I like seeing "dusty" cars that have not seen daylight in years. This site has plenty. Warning: If too much of y...

Re: Seat Foam

I got mine from Amazon. Very simple to wire up. I installed the switch in the bottom of the map pocket. -Steve

Re: Seat Foam

My wife got me one for the drivers seat in my '72. She got it from "Mr. Fiat" on e-bay. It was well shaped but a little too long when compared side by side on the bench with my original. I cut off the 4" that would usually tuck under the seat back with a big sharp K-Bar knife. My seat cover fit pret...

Re: Is spring ever going to get here?

Spring sure has arrived in the SF Bay Area........ Nice to see, but it makes me realize that I never got around to the brake tubing replacement and differential rebuild job I had planned for the off-season. The arrival of spring means I need to start mowing the lawn again on weekends too. There goes...

Japanese Fiat Dino Coupe ?

Is it just me or does this 1971 look like a total rip-off of the Dino? Too bad it's right hand drive!

Re: Oil Level

I accidently overfilled mine by a fair amount once and didn't notice until I took it for a spin. As I started pulling up a grade, I got the rpm's up and suddenly lost power.......with a HUGE plume of smoke pouring out the back. ...And I do mean HUGE.....Like a naval destroyer laying out a smoke scre...

Re: Help with Seatbelt Suggestion for '78 Fiat 124 1800

I purchased a new 3 point retractable belt but didn't like the modern looking buckles. I harvested some nice vintage buckles with the FIAT logo on them from an X1/9 and had the guys at Snake-Oyl products sew them onto the new seatbelts. They look period correct and the new retractors work great. I w...

Re: Battery impact wrench question, 3/8" or 1/2"

Hi Carl ... I purchased a Milwaukee 18 volt 1/2" impact wrench on Amazon for under $160. Spec says it can deliver 475 ft. pounds of torque. Did not include batteries or a charger but I already had those on hand for my other Milwaukee tools. To date, I've only used it to pull wheels from our Tahoe an...

Re: Today I met my cars original owner from 46 years ago and 1,700 miles away.

His name is Al Woodraska and he lives in Harlan Iowa. I bet it wasn't him though. Sounded like he only ever owned 2 Fiats and sold his last one in 1976. That would be a +40 year old collection of parts! Hummmmm..... As I wrote that, it occurred to me that I myself have a collection of 1971 BMW 1600 ...
