Re: Some History for Sale

Perhaps what's for sale is not interesting, but wondering what type of memories you have of Cosentino and PBS. Mine are looking at Al's catalog and wondering if I could ever afford to buy any of his goodies. 30 years later I finally can😀

How to preserve plastic dash

So I was finally able to source my second piece (the first being an un-rusted rear trunk) of unobtanium for my 124 CC Coupe, that being a used, but uncracked, plastic dash. Any one out there familiar with plastics and polymers enough to be able to recommend what products can be used to extend the li...

Re: air compressof for home garage use.

expensive yes - a b'day gift to myself - got it because its got enough oomph/cfm for the power/paint tools I use and because it doesn't require a fork lift to move. Before this one I ordered 2 different compressors from Amazon and had to return them both because of cfm and noise issues. But the best...

Re: air compressof for home garage use.

As part of my restoration of a 124 Sport Coupe, I just bought a compressor. I know it is outside the budget of most, but I decided on it primarily because of the combination of capacity, noise level, and portability. I did not want to aggravate the neighbors next door or the one "indoor" as well. It...

Re: IDF dimensions

I measured what I know is an original Italian Weber at the base/manifold end and it measured 39mm, which is close to 40 but not exactly. I'm assuming 39 means 40 in Italian. As for the carburator that I thought was a 44, its base/manifold end also measures 40. Whovever gave them to me (I did not buy...

Re: IDF dimensions

Yikes 36mm. I'm assuming mine are Chinese. Makes me wonder if my 40 is not a 36 and my 44 is not a 40. The proper place to measure the 40 or 44 dimension will give me the answer.

Re: IDF dimensions

Its obvious that the dimensions are different between the two carbs, I was just wondering do the numbers correspond to a measurement that is taken at a particular location, or are they just an approximation. On my carbs, I cant seem to find an exact 40mm or 44mm dimension - perhaps because they are ...

IDF dimensions

I am trying to figure out what the designation for the 40 and 44 IDF carburators means. If it is a dimension, can't quite find one on the carburators that correlates to the numbers.
