Re: Let's piss off carl

I've wanted many times that stamp on the long stick that puts the word stupid on the offenders car  Maybe a bright orange nerf gun that shoots stupid labels; but that might be childish. I've resorted to just pulling off and getting a few miles between me and the dumb-koff that is causing th...

Re: Air auxiliary valve

We bought an worn out Datsun 1978 280Z motor and used the similar AAV in my 2000 Fiat. The thermal time switch exchanges also but mine is still good ; the AFM might not exchange but would plug in. The Datsun AFM does not control fuel pump that I can see. I think the AAV resistor in different cars he...

Re: Correction: Is brake system light supposed to flash...?

this post about 2 months old now ... could this be a bad e-brake indicator switch that is under the handle? Mine was kind of cranky and the light flicker until I cleaned it up.

Re: Split Second AFM to MAF Calibrator

I agree with both your comments. The unit is tricking the ECU; so I don't see any advantage over the stock AFM. I laughed about the 10 HP myself. I don't think there would be significantly more air with a MAF. Brad's point about the wire mesh is valid in my opinion I cant say this MAF is more reliab...

Split Second AFM to MAF Calibrator

Has anyone tried this unit by Split Second? https://splitsec.com/product/psc1-009-programmable-signal-calibrator-afm-to-maf-hv-output/ I'm not sure if this is the right unit for a Fiat? This is for a air flow meter that put out 0 to 9 volts to ECU I would check with a meter before ordering, they hav...

Re: WIRE NUMBER 22: OPEN END FOUND UNDER COIL

I looked into this quite a bit on the web - ran across a Alpha diagram which also called this wire a lambda test wire. To me it is interesting that the voltage changes with mixture adjustment... which got me thinking that there might be a "best" voltage,, if the car is running good otherwise maybe t...

Re: WIRE NUMBER 22: OPEN END FOUND UNDER COIL

Did not get back to this with my tester for a while; With a unplugged O2, the voltage is the same as a cold engine.
wire 22 voltage changes as I change the mixture after the car warms up any way.
