Re: Source for brown wire

One more thing - I found a source for the tabbed terminals that are needed to replace the ones that snap into the plastic connectors. Mouser has them in bulk for fairly reasonable prices. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/571-60701-1-CT They are tin-plated brass and seem to be of fairly good qual...

Re: Source for brown wire

I believe the brown wire that is routed between the starter solenoid battery terminal and the ignition switch on many spiders is closer to a #8 wire than a # 10 wire. Yellow crimp connectors designed for #10-12 wire do not fit on the brown wire in many of the Spiders. Converting metric wire sizes t...

Re: Source for brown wire

Thanks Brad! I picked up the wire and an ignition relay kit from one of the vendors. I bought and installed one of the headlight relay kits from Greg Smith and my only regret was not doing that sooner.

Source for brown wire

I'm rewiring parts of the ignition and am having a hard time finding #10 brown wire anywhere. Local parts stores have #10 in Red, Black and sometimes yellow, but no brown. Even Amazon looks like it's a bust. Do you guys have an online source that you recommend?

Re: Looking for a mechanic / shop in Denver (or Fort Collins)

Thanks buddy. There are some fantastic roads here in Colorado and I’m itching to get the Spider back to where I can hop in it and drive anywhere without being nervous. I still use it to carry my paddle board and for day trips in the mountains, but I worry about the lack of regular driving. I have a ...

Dave Dutton retired from Apple. The business is still there, under a different name, and Doug, one of the guys from Apple, still worked there last time I was by. Doug's a good wrench and has a couple gorgeous Lancias.

Perfect, I talked to Doug on the phone this morning. Thanks!!

Update - Re: Looking for a mechanic / shop in Denver (or Fort Collins)

I think Apple is still around. I called them this morning and think I'm set. I think they moved.

Looking for a mechanic / shop in Denver (or Fort Collins)

Hey gang, it's been a few years since I've been here, but it's great to see some familiar names around. I moved from the Bay Area to Fort Collins, CO a couple years back and haven't done much driving because I've been traveling and working on the house. I try to drive the FIAT pretty regularly, but ...

FIAT mechanic in Milwaukee?

<r>The subject line pretty much sums it up - any recommendations for a FIAT
mechanic in the greater
Milwaukee area?

I just finished the process of requesting collector plates and getting the car
registered and I'm
expecting them to be here any day now.
