I like to wipe each wire down with a lacquer thinner soaked rag. It removes the nasty tape residue and restores the color. I am really curious to see what you use for cleaning the harness, the connectors of course but also the colored wires too. After so many years it can be hard to tell what the wh...

Re: New 1969 Spider Project

It’s one of those little things that make a big difference in the overall look. I did the same thing on my X1/9s 69792B33-6FE7-429A-9CCF-C9B2E2BC4115.jpeg --I'll second that Brad! Beautiful cars Mark! I definitely like the "over-riders removed" look, and the tighter bumpers on the '68-72... :) 72 Sp...

Re: New 1969 Spider Project

Same as on my ‘69 124 & ‘68 850. Only on the early US cars AFAIK 40DA7013-BB61-470A-B61E-8552874E106A.jpeg 7AC076CE-189F-4F04-A449-17E9B9D721B0.jpeg I really can’t bring myself to make modifications like that. I talk...and then I don’t do it. Here is a photo of the reverse light, it’s a shared part ...

Re: timing belt off by half tooth

You need to measure TDC of the cam with a dial indicator and then use an adjustable cam wheel. Read Guy Croft’s book for more details. This is the process on an SOHC

the EFI zagato head is the best casting for the 2.0L that was used in the states. It is highly desirable.. Just a FYI

Re: 2 Liter head

This isn’t the head I was thinking of, but it’s from a 2 liter. I have the valves and associated parts that go with it.

Re: 2 Liter head

I think I have a really nice one I took off my 29K mile Zagato. I'll have to rummage through the collection to be sure. Just took delivery of my 2 liter short block (thanks ST3Racer) Now I need a ported/bigger valve 2 liter head to match. I have the cams and only need the head. Want the 2 liter beca...

Re: Would you 205/60r13 or 185/70r13 on 13x6 wheel ?

I wouldn't hesitate running either on a 6" rim. The 205/60s have a smaller diameter than stock. Ran them on a Spider and a Scorpion many years ago on 5.5" rims. The 185/70s are taller and close to stock diameter. I have 185/60-13s on a set of 13x6 Campys I use on my X1/9s and 850 Spider and they fit...
