Re: Moron Appreciation Day

Get a nail or bolt, wrap a piece of solid stranded copper wire around it to make an electro-magnet. Use the wires to push the nail down into the tailpipe as far as you can. Connect each wires to a battery then pull the wires out. At some point it should attach itself to the nut. That's what I would ...

Re: Burnt Wiring Connector and Electric Thoughts

The wiring on Fiats is not the problem, it's the connectors. There was a few years in the mid 70s that did use aluminum wiring instead of copper. I'm not sure how much issues that caused. I would just cut the original connector box off and toss it. Unless your anal and want originality. Any easier a...

Re: tail light connector info needed

I was trying to repair some of these taillight cards on a Brava which are similar to the Spider. Same design, just shaped different. I can't remember the exact reason why I started this but I think the copper strips that the white connectors plug into were separating from the circuit board. I tried ...

Re: Outer lighting Switch

I think dumbest accessory setup is the wipers. The column switch has three positions. Off, delay, constant ". Then there speed control in the dashboard. So you have two delay speeds and two constant speeds. I've never seen a wiper setup like this. Yet the X 1/9 has four positions Off, slow delay, sl...

Re: Favorite body filler / glaze?

I like using U-POL. It comes in a pouch and you kneed the bag to mix it where the liquid may separate from sitting and just squeeze out a dog turd and apply a bead of hardener across it and mix. The reason I don't like using Bondo is I have to get it out of the can with a spoon and then guess how mu...

Finally got around to putting something together from the drone footage I shot at FreakOut. Hope you like it.

FreakOut 2019
Is that the show field? Reason I ask is last time I as there (which was Nashville) they would group the years and models together.

Where is Freakout 2020 going to be held?

I haven't been since the one in Nashville. I was hoping it might be in Asheville again one of these days.

Re: 1980 Spider - Turn Signalling

I misunderstood that the blinkers weren’t working. Everything else applies but you can ignore the part about the hazards and grounding. Get a new flasher unit, and it’s located under the dash by the ignition switch. Btw many European cars had a single indicator for flashers. My old vw and Audi’s we...

Re: Contaminated fuel or something else?

Well got the Subaru out the other day to test out my new Android touch screen stereo, new brake pads (front and back) along with new front rotors to see if I could get rid of that nasty front end shimmy under hard braking. Well the new rotors did the trick. Brake pads looked like they had less than ...
