Re: New 1969 Spider Project

Here is a photo of the reverse light, it’s a shared part with the Alfa duetto. I’m looking into the history of it because it wasn’t common on fiats. These Carello Reverse lamps were used on the USA 1968/69 850 Spider & 124 Spider, as well as 1968-only 850 Sedan & 850 Coupe. All 850's had one on the...

Searched the library and the threads, no luck. Anyone have a download link?
Google "fiat 850 shop manual pdf" & you'll get a few hits on various European 850 club sites. Most are probably pdf's of the Haynes manual, but should be close enough for most service work.

Re: Outer lighting Switch

BTW, anybody ever use flash to the pass function on any car? This seems to be a European thang that somehow migrated to American cars. What country came up with that? If someone flashed their lights behind me on a dark road that would either piss me off or make me nervous. If I want to pass someone...

Have you tried C. Obert & Co, Midwest Bayless or Mr Fiat? If they don't have it you may have to look at one of the European or other foreign sources. As responded to over on Xweb... Re: Fiat 124 & Abarth 1300/124 Wahler thermostat

Is that small third one to go to the heater? I can't quite make out in the pic. Likewise is that mark near its opening a crack or a scratch in the paint? Also why hadn't you already dug this out last year when I was situating the cooling... I'm not sure what the small hose connects to on the 124, I...

Wow, and I thought the Spider/Coupe thermostats were complicated!
Yeah. As fitted to the Abarth 1300/124 Coupe engine:

Re: 124 speedometer drive?

Aha! I think I've got it! :D Seeing how my cable-drive pod is on the opposite side as compared to the 124 drives posted here, I surmised this would rotate the speedo cable in the opposite direction as well. Likely for a rear-engined set-up, but not an 850 (or X1/9). Then I remembered this: early600D...
