Re: Is a hand-tight pinion nut OK?

Well, there is the possibility that the seal leaking is caused by too much radial movement of the pinion shaft due to loss of pre-load. While you are in there take a look at the crush sleeve and inner race of the bearing to see if there is evidence the two may have been spinning against each other.

Re: Is a hand-tight pinion nut OK?

Re: Argenta Turbo engine bearings?

Yes, King racing bearing. I purchased a set of these a few years back for the race motor. They can be special order for us in the USA, they are a technologically advanced bearing and do cost significantly more. They are not really needed for the power levels we are running, but if you were to add a ...

Re: oil filter and plug recommendations

Joe, NGK 8-9 for sure, i wouldn't use anything else. Oil filter, i second the recommendation for the Purolator, both street and race car. I currently run a remote setup now on the race car, no room for the large filter anymore ( will have to check brank P#) . 6qts in the dual wing trap door sump and...

Re: Valve Tolerances Make No Sense after Head Gasket

I think there is something that you are not telling us?? Why would you have to change the cam box gaskets when replacing the head gasket. Did you have the head machined and they also re-cut the valve seats??
