Re: 1969 spider for sale

And it’s a 75. What else could be wrong with it?

Re: Ha, Ha ... FN Ha

This is a big enough problem they have a Task Force for it? I can just see a large staff dedicated to these environmental crimes, since REAL police work is so much more difficult. I would guess it was similar to the stupid signs we'd see in Louisiana about "the bears are watching" as if the Interst...

Re: Ladder Bumpers - what was the first year?

What is the serial number of the car? The one stamped into the body? That will tell you the real production sequence of the body. The bumpers didn't interchange so it may be you have a later car that has had its plates swapped to desmog it.

Re: Argenta Turbo engine bearings?

Where exactly did someone on this site post any of these items? There aren't any posts related to the Argenta unless you search back around 2012.

I prefer my Spiders to need to have stuff cut out, welded, and patched. I mean this one looks all straight and boring.

Re: Emergency brake cable routing sanity check

No disagreement there, they appear to route above the arms on 33.3 In my view whatever causes the least amount of bend/binding to the cable is what works. From most of what I'm seeing they route below on the early cars and above on the late ones. Perhaps because the late suspensions where higher tha...

Yep -

"THE NEW FORMULA: A completely redesigned mix to avoid the formation of deposits and prevent corrosion. Suitable for all engines, even those turbocharged subject to high level of mechanical and temperature stress."

It's basically a can with normal old oil in it.

My god...it's wearing the original color. From the looks of it an under priced car that someone could really fix up.

Re: Emergency brake cable routing sanity check

I may have found the definitive, indisputable answer. The homologation paperwork for the 124 Spider (in the library) has a picture of the rear suspension clearly showing the cables routing under the bars.
