Re: 2019 the last year for the Fiat 500 in the U.S.

Wasn't Laura concurrently terminated? As I recall the product launch was like watching a slow motion train wreck. The dealer network hardly existed and most people didn't have a fond memory of FIAT. Marketing was key here...actually not even real deep marketing, just simple market research - the kin...

Re: Crankshaft Part Numbers 124 Spider

The microfilms we have show all prior production years for a series - so for example our spider 2000 set is from 1984. They show the currently applicable replacement part for the car, not necessarily the part originally installed. Fiat seemed to produce many types of some parts, particularly engine ...

Re: Hey Brad, have you seen this? Small bore Holley Sniper

Might be a good solution; the price seems reasonable. It would likely increase HP given the accuracy of fuel injection vs. carburetion (as L-Jet does) and MPGs.

I pulled the new caliper off the drivers side. Acuated the e brake lever by hand, no action on the piston, Has to be assembled incorrectly. Not right
Maybe someone broke the piece inside the piston where the rod screws in.

Re: fixing slow wipers - 2019 edition

I used a motor from a 98-10 VW beetle. It’s a bolt in motor and was $5 from a junkyard. Much faster than original. On high speed it’s fast enough that it sometimes can’t be shut off because the motor has enough inertia to continue spinning back to the park contact. I rarely need to use high speed e...

Re: Transmission intermittent whirr sound

They're normal. Everything wears a bit - those brass rings are amazingly durable given how much of a pounding they take even with mild shifting.
