SEATTLE X1/9 RAIN OR SHINE '99 Saturday, September 25th, 1999 Dusk to Dawn
Okay folks! This is it. Our long-awaited "next" SeattleX1/9 get together hooray !! This may well be the last outdoor gathering of SeaX this year, so please do your best to attend. Rain or shine, it will be very worthwhile to come out and join your fellow Italian car enthusiasts at this event:
SeaX "Get Together" in the park!
Come join the SeaX folks on Saturday, September 25th at Priest Point Park in Olympia, Washington. We have a covered shelter (#3) reserved from dawn to dusk. The shelter has several park benches, lights, a 3-compartment wood stove with grill, kitchen counter and cold running water. Bring your own munchies, and maybe a little something to pitch onto the community food table! Who knows, we might even end up doing the 'cookout' thing!
Meanwhile, X1/9s (and other Fiat/Lancia cars are *always* welcome to attend - tell your friends!) will be scattered around the park for your viewing pleasure.
There are several walking trails through the forest and near the bay. If walking is not your speed, the area is home to many county back roads for that inevitable moment when you feel the need for a "spirited drive"! There is no "official" group drive planned, but all are free to come and go as they please.
Come see the X1/9s and the good people of SeaX surrounded by nature... SeaX shirts & hats should also be available for sale at the event. This is an all-day event (dawn to dusk) so come by anytime and join the fun!
Priest Point Park is located at 2600 East Bay Drive in Olympia, Washington: From I-5 (either direction), take exit 105 and follow all signs for "Port Of Olympia" or for "Plum Street".
This course will put you onto Plum Street in downtown Olympia. Continue straight on Plum. When you pass the AM/PM store at the corner of State Street, "Plum Street" turns into "East Bay Drive". Continue straight down East Bay Drive, and the park entrance will be a mile or so down on the right. Enter the park and cross the bridge on the left. SeaX will be down the loop toward the "Lookout Point" and the "Ellis Cove Trail".
All are welcome to come and go as they please, but parking is limited so come earlier in the day for the prime spots!
SEE YOU THERE ON THE 25th!
